It was 49 years ago we met and soon there after were married and began our ministry with the Messiah Yeshua “Jesus”.
You see God knew I’d needed lots of help that I was unable to make it alone so He gave me the support and strength I’d need to keep my eyes on Yeshua. He gave me Connie or I should say he gave me to Connie to take care of. Oh God what a job she has done it started in Shreveport Louisiana in a prison ministry we preached in prisons all across the US for about 10 years, thousands of souls came to the Lord, we were blessed to witness many miracles.
That ministry expanded to a food and clothing outlet in Cedar Grove Louisiana where we collected food and clothing for the needy families then we purchased a used Trailways Silver Eagle Bus to assist families who lived in northern Louisiana that had no way to visit their husbands,, fathers and sons in Angola the Louisiana State Prison wanting to help keep the families together. It was a 350 mile trip and they had no buses or public transportation to get there and back. Needless to say this opened up many other ministries.
Then I received my pilot license with the help of a friend who has gone to be with the Lord Wallace Stanberry. Wallace owned the flying school and once I became a pilot he would allow me to use any of his planes for ministry work, and that opened up prisons all over the country as they all have a small landing strips near the prison were I could fly in with others and the needed equipment to have revivals.
The plane opened up another ministry I really liked a lot, there was a School Away From School in Shreveport that took the troubled kids who were most expelled from public schools they were for the most part a disturbed bunch of kids. I made arrangements with the Warden of Angola C. Murray Henderson to allow me to fly 4 or 5 of them to Angola in a 6-seater plane, we already had a bus load of prisoners families come in every week by bus. Once there I’d have 3 or 4 of the hardest looking thugs show up in a room and tell them first how they ended up in prison and how hard it has been on them and their families. Remembering these where kids in their teens, and then these guys would tell them in no uncertain terms what would most likely happen to them if they ever showed up there. On the way back home around a two-hour flight it was preaching time for me and they were more than willing to listen.
This puts our life and ministry up to 1976 when I crashed a plane outside of the Atmore Alabama prison and had 75% of my body 2nd and 3rd degree burns. For this I will just direct you to a book I wrote called “Burned Alive”, today it is a free download on our site CLICK HERE (I’d like your commit after reading) it was about then God begin to speak to me about my Jewish heritage and it became a near obsession wherever I went and whatever I was doing my mind would wonder back to Israel. During those years a very dear friend named Art Katz and his wife Inger became good friends of ours. In those years Art was a very well known Evangelist and Bible Teacher and he took tours to Israel, he ask me and Connie to be Co-Hosts with his next tour and to find a few folks to come on a tour in 1977 and we did and it changed our lives and we have never looked back over these past 46 years. We became Israeli citizens in 1980, I did 7 years in the IDF and my son Joel who you all know now so well became a Special Forces Commander for the past 20 years.
This short testimony and history of the Golden family is only to say the following. We love you very much and the souls we saw saved and all the services to the needy over these 46 years were only made possible because the Holy Spirit has touched the souls and minds of those who would to be part of this Ministry.
Over these years in God’s service many Scriptures are cemented in my heart and mind but two I want to share with you now,
Eph 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
This Scripture was what God used to try and keep me humble I thought it worked very well for God, but others who know me well may disagree with that.
But as the years ticked by I began to understand the difference from being saved and our salvation. As time passed I began to see another Scripture and I began to see the meaning of being hot, cold or Luke warm.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
It was then I began to understand more fully
James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
I made up my mind early on to not just get saved and set on a comfortable pew believing myself to be a real “Christian”, but to truly give my life to God. It became clear to me, I had eternal life, not this body buy my soul it will never die. Then something very frightening occurred to me, we all have eternal life saved or unsaved for your soul will not die. It’s each of our choice as to where eternal life will be with God or without Him. It’s a very simple choice, but the most important one you will ever make.
The ministry today here in Israel has been changing over the past couple years mostly because of COVID-19, and the revival the Devil’s having across the world while and “Christian” Churches continue to refuse to preach the real truth about the end times and have settled on a man made version that preaches a salvation without works, just pay your tithes because most churches today are big business. We are seeing cities and whole countries destroyed because they have turned their back on God. Here in Israel we see Gay Parades marching down the main streets of Jerusalem looking more like Sodom every day. God has no choice but to pour out His waft on His people. I believe there will be a great revival in Israel in the near future. Praying that this ministry will not fail in saving European Jewish lives and help feed as many of the poor as we possibly can.
The Presence
For years we have been establishing contacts and communications with European Rabbis and trusted Believers to help us set up routes and ways to save as many Jews as possible from the coming European holocaust. God began to show us how, where and when to use boats as there will no commercial flights to Israel in those days. We thought God would supply us with a fleet of boats for rescue, we did not know what we now know about sailing in the Med and meeting all the right Believers and Rabbis had we not had boats. But the cost of keeping several boats is very expensive and God showed us a better way. There are many boat owners here in Israel who would want to be part of a great rescue. Joel and I can organize them with the right directions and knowledge.
Joel had a vision a few years ago to help feed the hungry children here in Israel, it is now being reported that 1 in 3 Israeli kids go to bed hungry, as most of you know Connie and I have been trying to help and feed a few families over the years, but Joel had a vision of feeding thousands and he began to pray for that to become a reality, today he is delivering a truck load of food to needy families every week and growing way beyond our present ability to pay for it, but Joel now has convinced me and most important the Holy Spirit has confirmed his dream to me. Our desire now is to obtain a warehouse and begin stocking foods for even those we bring home will need to be fed as well. It is almost a forgone conclusion that most of these trips and services will be in a time of war or shortly there after.
None of the ministry mentioned above or in the future could be accomplished without God speaking into the hearts of true Believers to support this Ministry.
It must be said that at least 80% of what is being done today in this Ministry is being done by my son Joel. I’m 83 or will be the 28th of this month and need much more rest time then he does. There is little if anything about this Ministry he doesn’t know. And I don’t mind saying there is not enough words for me to tell you how proud his mother and I are of him. God has a far better vessel to work with than He did with me. That is not to say I am gone for I may still have years left on this planet, but I’m looking forward to retirement but noton earth.
