A Call to Sacrifice

With all my heart I believe we have precious little time to prepare for the final phases of this rescue ministry.  Connie and I will be traveling into Moslem territory next week making arrangements for safe houses and looking at a larger boat.  We are also in the process of having our boat in Turkey made ready for operation and it should be back in the water in a week or so. The cost for all the necessary repairs and upgrades is 18,000 Euros ($25,200) and there is still many items that need to be purchased for safe sea voyages with an over crowded amount of people on board.  The larger boat that we really should have cost in the neighborhood of $400,000, sounds like a lot of money, but then how much is Jewish life worth to us.

Anti-Semitism is spreading throughout all of Europe at a rate higher than it did in the 30’s and 40’s, many Jews who are able are either making Aliyah now or planning to do so soon.  There will be tens of thousands unable for one reason or the other to do so and will need help and their lives could very well be a stake.

If we don’t have the groundwork in place with the necessary arrangements and equipment along with the funding we will simply be unable to accomplish what we have been preparing for over the past few years.  I am unashamedly asking you to get on your face before God and ask Him what He would have you to do.

We now have many safe houses across the US and other places, but arrangements will have to be made to transport Jews to safe routes and into places in the Mediterranean where they can picked up.  We have coordinators who are doing a great job but so much more needs to be done.  We simply don’t have the needed finances we need to get it all done, and it is now I am asking you to come forth when God touches your spirit and soul to save His people.  To find how to give your gift to this Ministry click on this link http://www.thegoldenreport.com/asp/jerrysnewsmanager/anmviewer.asp?a=1013&z=2

God calls some to sail into extreme danger and others to finance the calling.  For those who sit back and say if God ordains it then it will come about, that may be true but for the most part it will be done without God’s blessing on those who say such things.  It has been my experience over the past 40 years in God’s service that He sends those who put feet to their calling.  Prayer certainly has a place and needed in all ministries called by God, but Faith is a verb, an action word.  And it is time for us to put action to our faith not just words.  My heart is saddened more every day as I know what is before us and we are so unprepared.  We have two 60 foot boats and know it is not enough.  The one Motor yacht we have has no sails and we need a much larger boat with motor and sails to carry many more than we are now able to pick up.

The economy is bad world wide and the cost of used Gullets in Turkey has gone down considerably but still way beyond our present means.  And we have precious little time to accomplish getting the larger boat.

As mentioned above we will be traveling in dangerous territory over the next week and we are asking for your prayer and support.  Please pray and I know God will speak to you, and when He gives you a number send it right away, so much depends on it.
