Sharon buys himself another 6 months as Prime Minister, unless the so-called rebels can find a way to unseat him before the primary. Even with the common knowledge that he won this Likud vote not to have early elections by threats and bribery and other fraudulent and what some are calling criminal actions, it seems that Netanyahu will not challenge the results.
Now the big question is, will Sharon stay in the Likud or cancel the government and take his MK’s who don’t belong in the Likud anyway with him into a new party that would be just right of central. That may all depend on if he can persuade Shimon Peres to join him. One thing is certain he isn’t so sure he can with the primaries in 6 month and stay the head of the Likud party and he would have to do that to continue being Prime Minister. The Rebels led by Uzi Landau didn’t do so bad, all we hear in the news is they lost and Sharon won, but there is another way to look at it, Netanya and Landau increased their support to nearly 50% inside the Likud losing by only 104 votes and many of them were promised special jobs and benefits for voting for Sharon.
There is no doubt that Sharon knows the handwriting is on the wall and I expect to see him leave the Likud, for it is well known he does not stand for the Likud platform.
Hamas now Kidnapping Israelis
Hamas has now started killing kidnapped Israelis in the same way al-Qaida has been doing. They kidnapped Sesson Nuriel and Israeli business man then made a video before they killed him, and have now promised that they will kidnapped more Israelis.
Syria moving troops to
Israel’s northern border.
Syria is planning something big, or so it seems, they have taken 1,500 Palestinians from a refugee camp and taken half of them to the port town of Sidon and the rest into the Bekaa valley. It is also known that the Hizbullah has been arming in preparations for a possible assault on Israel some time in the near future. Assad of Syria is caught between a rock and a hard spot, knowing that America is possibly planning a strike against him for harboring and transporting Terrorists into Iraq to kill US troops, not to mention the fact that he protects and assists nearly every known Terrorist group. It would be his thinking that if he can get something going between Hizbullah and Israel it could possibly kick off a regional war bringing Iran and possibly even Egypt into the fight. This would keep the Americans so busy they would leave him alone, so he thinks. But it seems that every time we think we have this figured out it goes in another direction, we will see this time, but one thing is certain he is moving a lot of terrorists in Israel’s direction for some reason and that can’t be good.
PA has lost control if they ever had it.
Hamas has fired over 50 missiles into Israel since the disengagement from Gaza. Israel has responded first by flying over Gaza and dropping leaflets telling the civilians that if Hamas or Islamic Jihad fires missiles from their area they need to leave right away because Israel will fine right back at them for a change, that the rules of the game has changed. Israel like any other sovereign country has the right to fire back at any one who declares war on them. The Palestinians are in full control of Gaza now and must accept the responsibility of that sovereignty.
Israel has placed heavy guns in place just outside the Gaza Strip and for the first time yesterday fired back to the location of the missiles that came into Israel. Right away Hamas as usual shouted ceasefire as they always do, then regroup and start all over again. But this time the IDF told them to late your word isn’t any good, we will stop when we feel we have a reason to stop.
Maybe now if the IDF will keep that mindset we can stop them from killing us. But another thing is happening for the past 17 days that should cause the entire world to notice. Terrorists from Hizbullah, Iran, and many Palestinians from the Lebanon refugees camps have been coming into Gaza through the open borders of Egypt along with weapons of every kind, making Gaza an armed Terrorist state just like Sharon and Bush was warned by nearly every IDF General.
Ministry
Even though we don’t have the needed finances to purchase the larger boat, we know after much prayer that we are to continue doing the groundwork in Turkey and Cyprus, we will be making another trip soon, I will tell you more after the trip is completed not wanting to make ourselves targets. There is much to be accomplished and we will be sending others as the lord leads to assist in this planning. I feel certain God has touched many to provide the needed finances, and the Devil is aware of this as well, and is fighting us as hard as he possibly can. But he is a defeated liar and we will be successful in Yeshua’s name. I am asking everyone to pray with us over this ministry.
Another Family to assist here in Israel.
Connie and I both feel we should take on another family we are scheduled to meet with them in the next few days. We are working through a social worker in the poorest neighborhood in Jerusalem, who will pick out a Jewish immigrant family who desperately needs help. We always ask her to pick a family with high morals and that just needs some help to get going themselves. We do it this way because we can work personally with the family, when we take them the support money once a month we have the opportunity to spend some time with them getting to know them and their personal problems. God is using this part of the ministry in a big way, please pray about your part in this.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for all those who have come to fight the Islamic enemy. Pray for this Ministry and your part in it. Shalom, jerry golden
