Before I speak of the terrible things happening here in Israel I should say something good, and there is many great things to say about Israel.

A place where a Jew can go into any supermarket and buy anything there and know it is kosher.

It’s the only country where Jews can have an army to defend ourselves against the Devils inspired anti-Semitism that is taking over the world.

After the 1967 war we now have the ability to go to the Western Wall and pray where God says His heart and eyes shall be there perpetually. II Chronicles 7:15-16

It is a place where Jews can express themselves intellectually and have blessed mankind with many medical breakthroughs and inventions. Where High Tech is unmatched in the world. Gen. 13:3

We have the Sea of Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) where Yeshua spent much of His 3 years of ministry and walked on the water.

The Dead Sea near the ruins of the Essences where John the Baptist lived and studied.

But most of all we have the City of Jerusalem still undivided and in Jewish control.

We have beautiful mountains and a desert and we even have snow on Mount Herman at a time when you can pick oranges in Jericho.

And we have of course lots of Jews, who some times don’t agree in fact it is said that if you put two Jews together you will have a dozen opinions on everything. But maybe that is what stimulates the creative ability of the Jewish mind that God said would bless all of mankind, and has.

This is but a partial list, for I could go on and on about the wonderful things about living in Israel, but now I am going to say some very painful things, but I think they need to be said.

The destruction Ariel Sharon has done to Israel may never be overcome, and to add insult to injury he left behind his crony Olmert who was in the 33^rd position in the Likud. And proved to be a failure as Mayor of Jerusalem. While he makes wonderful speeches in the US and stands with his real boss George W. Bush the political reality here in Israel is falling apart. He appoints a man who has no Military or Defense experience to be the Defense Minister, and now we hear on a daily basis IDF Generals and Shin Bet Director warn him of the build up of al-Qaida in Judean and Samaria. The Mossad and Shin Bet have both reported that more weapons have flowed into Gaza since the disengagement than over the past 39 years since the 6 day war of 1967.

In the stores in Ramallah, Nablus and other towns in the so-called West Bank there are videos, CD’s and pamphlets being handed out daily convincing the “Palestinians” that they must join the fight with al-Qaida to regain their homeland. They openly are saying that they are building up their weapons to fight the Zionist enemy and that soon now they will be ready. All this is making Egypt and Jordan very nervous facing the reality of having this terrorist organization spill over into their countries. And in the mean time our new Prime Minister says or does nothing to prevent the disaster coming straight at us.

In the mean time Olmert makes trips to appease Bush and other EU leaders that he is their man in Israel, but obviously not ours here at home. With Kassams and Katyushas rockets now falling daily on towns around the Gaza Strip and the known fact of the build up of Hamas and al-Qaida the IDF sits with their hands tied by this government and a new Defense Minister with no experience to lead them.

In the city of Tel-Aviv crime gangs are fighting over who has control over illegal gambling and prostitution. At the same time the police are faced with corruption charges from all sides. While the High Court continues to give a green light to homosexuals to demonstrate and even supplying them minority funds as if they were a neglected group with rights to express themselves. It is also a known fact that the Russian Mafia (the strongest and most violent in Israel) makes many businesses in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem pay for protection much like the 1920’s in New York and Chicago.

Not much different from the US and Europe, corruption and immorality seems to be taking over our world. The way I read and understand God’s Word, there will be a great shaking and purifying before there is any chance of the Messiah coming. And according to Matt. 24 and Luke 21 that is just what we are in for in the very near future. And purifying always starts at home and for God that is Israel. The Jews of Israel will be knocked to their faces and much like the Damascus experience they will witness the glory of God and every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Yeshua is the Messiah. There are reasons God has brought us Jews back to this land, and I believe the main reason is to bring the Jews back to Him, and only God can cause that to happen. One thing is certain God will not allow this moral decay to go much further before His hand of righteousness falls on us all.

In the mean time we all have been given commissions, for me and my family we will serve God in the Ministry He has set before us. I know that many reading this have also been called to this re-gathering of the Jews back to Israel.

We are once again close to purchasing the larger boat, this time I pray it is large enough, our finances are still short and there is the groundwork in Turkey and elsewhere that must not be neglected. Once again as always I am asking you to pray about your part in this Ministry.
